LAKE SISKIYOU

In our opinion Shasta Lake is the premier fishing destination in California. Shasta Lake is the largest man made reservoir in California with 365 miles of coastline when full. The lake is fed by four main sources; the McCloud River, Pit River, Sacramento River and Squaw Creek. With above average species of Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, landlocked Kokanee Salmon and King Salmon, every trip has the potential to produce a trophy catch!

LAKE SISKIYOU

Located at the base of majestic Mount Shasta, its hard to beat the crystal clear serene water of Lake Siskiyou. With regular fish stocking and a pen raising program sponsored by the Mount Shasta Rotary its common to catch Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout upwards of 5 plus pounds. Lake Siskiyou campground provides a great location to camp for the weekend and the city of Mount Shasta just two miles away offers many hotel accommodations to choose from and several great restaurants.

WHISKEYTOWN RESERVOIR

Whiskeytown Reservoir is famous for its land locked Kokanee salmon,. They have a reputation of being the best tasting salmon on the planet! Located just 8 miles from Redding, Ca there are plenty of accommodations and restaurants to choose from. We highly recommend if your schedule allows to book a two day trip with fishing on both Whiskeytown Lake and Shasta Lake for a epic fishing adventure.

McCLOUD RESERVOIR

WHISKEYTOWN RESERVOIR

Located 8 miles outside the historic logging town of McCloud. McCloud reservoir is known for its beautiful turquoise colored water. The reservoir is one of our go to spots during the summer months due to its cool water and it’s consistent bite for Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. The McCloud area offers ample opportunity for camping as well as several waterfalls within easy walking distance from paved parking lots. Mount Shasta City is an easy 11 mile drive over the hill.
